Dhaka, March 24, 2017 (dpa/NAN) The police said on Friday that a suspected to have planted a bomb was killed in the blast outside a security post near Bangladesh’s main airport.

Police said that bomb went off in front of the security post at Ashkona, only half a km away from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The incident occurred a week after another bomber blew himself up at a nearby security post of the crime-busting Rapid Action Battalion.

The Islamic State militant group reportedly claimed responsibility for the March 17 attack that also left two security men wounded.

No one has as yet claimed responsibility for the latest attack and no other causality have been reported so far. (dpa/NAN)
