Dutse, Jan. 17, 2017 (NAN) The Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has warned dealers and filling station operators in the state to desist from diverting Petroleum products.
The Spokesperson of the command, Mr Adamu Abdullahi, gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Dutse.
Abdullahi said the command had taken note of diversion of products meant for the state by some dealers and filling station managers in the state.
“The Jigawa command of the NSCDC has observed with dismay the diversion of PMS by most dealers and most of filling station operators in the state.
“This is because, information before us revealed that most of them in Jigawa divert PMS meant for the state to other places.
“So, we are strongly warning all those involved to stop or face the full wrath of the law,’’ he said.
The spokesperson described the action as unethical and uncalled for, saying that “it must be stopped immediately’’.
According to him, the corps will not allow the operators and dealers to sabotage government’s efforts at making the product available and affordable.(NAN)
