Lagos, Dec. 14, 2016 (NAN) A factory worker, who allegedly stole copper wire valued at N45,000 from a company in Lagos, on Wednesday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
The accused, Abdulamumuni Kodogi, 25, who resides in Ikeja area of Lagos, is facing one-count charge of stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Eruada Victor, told the court that the accused and some others still at large, disappeared with the copper wire, property of Dayi Nigeria Ltd.
Victor said the accused was asked to deliver the goods to the company’s warehouse but instead diverted the items.
The offence contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Kodogi, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs G.O. Anifowoshe, granted the accused N50,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.
Anifowoshe adjourned the case to Jan. 9, 2017 for trial. (NAN)
