“We built a centre of excellence and a training centre first of its kind with all the machines to test all equipment, we are talking about. Why do we do that?
“Because we want to build capacity, we train on renewable energy and energy efficiency, we train about installation, maintenance, we train about design.
“How can we built capacity when there is no support, we are doing our best. We are opening up.
“Now we have trained over 200 students without paying any money. This is part of our contribution and today they are certified installers.”

“They need to also encourage, either by incentives, private developers who want to build a renewable energy centre for training of engineers.
“We also need the ministry of Power to help develop advocacy that nobody should just jump up and say I am a solar engineer.’’ (NAN)
