Enugu, Dec. 19, 2016 (NAN) Rangers’ striker Ifeanyi Egwim has lauded fans of the club for their show of love and prayers to see him back to his feet following his recovery from injury,two months ago.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Egwim got injured during the last match of the 2015/2016 Nigerian
Professional Football League (NPFL) between Rangers FC and El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Egwim gave the commendation amidst tears while speaking at the grand reception of Rangers FC in Enugu on Monday.
He noted that his fast recovery from injure was facilitated by the overwhelming support from fans and lovers of the club.
The striker also thanked Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for off-setting most of his medical bills.
“I will like to use this reception to sincerely thank fans and supporters of our great club – Rangers International FC – for staying close to me in my trial time.
“Your prayers, financial support and advice have facilitated the healing of my injure.
“As you can see, I am back to my feet and ready to play for the Flying Antelopes once more.
“I am battle ready for the forthcoming NPFL 2016/2017 season as well as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) league,’’ he said.
NAN correspondents reports that Egwim walking was seen normally without clutches.
Egwim was treated in National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu; where he stayed for two months. (NAN)
