He said the call become necessary in order to address the economic crisis and the hike in prices of goods and services.
”I want to urge the various levels of governments to diversify the nation`s economy by embarking on aggressive agricultural development.
”The federal and the state governments on their part should give soft loans to farmers and provide necessary incentives to boost farming activities in the country.
“”The country is blessed with fertile land, so I advise our people to embrace farming as one of the ways to addressing the rising costs of food items,” Abidoye said.
He decried the high rate of unemployment and poverty in the land, but charged the government to positively empower the youths to contribute their quota to the development of the nation. (NAN)
