Synergy

Zaria (Kaduna State), March 2, 2018 (NAN) Prof. Mohammed Khalid-Othman, Director, National Agricultural Extension and Liaisons Services (NAERLS) on Friday advocated for symmetry between journalists and researchers for effective agriculture policy communication.
Khali-Othman, made the call at the closing of a two-day training on “Policy Communication Course for Academics and Journalists” held at the NAERLS, Zaria, Kaduna State.
Khalid-Othman, was represented by Prof. Christ Daudu, Assistant Director, Research and Statistics.
He said the synergy would go a long way in boosting agricultural productivity and encourage the two groups to work hand-in-hand to boost national food security.
The director appreciated all the participants for their resilience, decorum and high sense of commitment during the entire training period.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Nasiru Abdul, General Manager, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) FM Radio lauded the programme for offering journalists ”a unique opportunity” and appealed to them to sustain the close working relationship to take agriculture to greater heights.
