Ilorin, Dec. 27,2017 (NAN) As the new year is fast approaching, a lawyer, Mr Amos Abiodun, has tasked government authorities to improve the living conditions of all Nigerians in 2018.

Abiodun made this call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Wednesday.

However, the legal practitioner described as fair, the performances of the three tiers of government at alleviating the hardship of Nigerians in 2017.

He advised the state governors and council chairmen to redouble their efforts at improving the people’s welfare in 2018 for the overall good of the country.

The lawyer identified health, education, employment and infrastructure, as the key areas that present Federal Government should ensure greater improvement in 2018.

The masses are suffering and they need to enjoy the dividends of democracy; the legislature, the executive and the judiciary should do their bits to make life meaningful to Nigerians.

“The state governors should ensure a timely payment of salaries to civil servants in order to boost their morale.

“The Federal Government should embark on people-oriented projects; our roads are death traps and need urgent attention; there is the need to equip our hospitals with first class medical facilities.

“Our education system needs urgent attention to save it from collapse; government must check strikes in Nigeria by improving on  workers’ welfare,” he said. (NAN)
