FRSC says recorded no auto crash during Xmas holidays in Niger

Minna, Dec.27, 2017( NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Niger Command, said on Wednesday that it did not record any accidents during the Christmas holidays in the state.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Garba Yusuf, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna.
Yusuf commended road users for adhering to traffic rules and regulations during the celebration and urged them to keep it up.
He said the presence of the command’s personnel on all federal high ways would compel motorists to desist from dangerous driving, overloading and unnecessary overtaking.
He also said that the command would continue to initiate techniques that would guarantee safety and security of lives and property of road users.
“We seek the support of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to ensure that their members obey traffic rules and regulations,” the sector commander said.
He called on parents to prevent their underage children from driving as anyone caught would be dealt with according to the law. (NAN)
