Ado-Ekiti, Oct.13, 2017 (NAN) A civil servant, Mr Matthew Alake, on Friday approached an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court, urging it to dissolve his 26-year-old-union with partner, Nike, for allegedly threatening his life and being wayward.

Alake, a resident of No. 142, Omiolori Street, Ado-Ekiti, however told the court that he and the respondent had not been married traditionally or legally.

The petitioner said he had approached the court to seek the separation in the interest of justice and because the union was blessed with three children.

He said the respondent had always threatened to kill him if he was unable to provide for the family.

Alake, said the respondent had often engaged in diabolical and fetish acts to oppress him.

He also said the respondent was flirtatious as she often left the house without informing him to keep late night without informing him.

The petitioner further said the respondent no longer had any regard for him and that the love that had kept them for many years was no longer there.

He prayed the court to award the custody of their three children to him to enable him to cater for them properly adding that the respondent had no means of livelihood.

Aleka also prayed the court to give an order compelling the respondent to return his three survey plans, two building plans and one prepaid metre in her possession to him.

The petitioner said he had been responsible for the children’s upkeep in all aspects from birth till date.

The President of the court, Mr Joseph Ogunsemi, adjourned the case until Nov.10, for further hearing. (NAN)
