“We have a programme specifically for our outstanding girls called the Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement and Development Camp – LEAD Camp.
“That is a programme that comes from our Company Programme so, in the company programme, all Senior Secondary School Students come together and form a company.
“They learn how to conduct market research to find out what will sell in their community or what ill solve a problem that people need.
“Any kind of innovation within their community, they will produce the product and they will sell it and they will run that company for up to six months.
“At the end of which they liquidate, they write an annual report and they enter into a competition for us to determine the best companies.
“So, this programme is done in different secondary schools nationwide. We select the girls that have done well in that programme and we do an intensive leadership and empowerment week with them.’’

The director said the LEAD Camp would hold in July and would have sessions on sexual reproductive health, on etiquette, personal hygiene and cleanliness.
She, therefore, urged parents to encourage their daughters attend the programme because of the immense benefits they stand to gain from it.
NAN reports that JAN is part of Junior Achievement Worldwide (JAWW) established in 1919 and has been able to deliver free unique, experimental programmes built on JAWW’s 3 pillars for success.
These 3 pillars for success are work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy in youths. (NAN)
