Abuja, March 6, 2017 (NAN) Ayo Abdulrahman, the Secretary, Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) says the league will pay indemnity to clubs owners.
Abdulrahman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Monday that the new board had assured the club owners that their indemnities would be paid at the beginning of the season.
He said the move would lessen club owners’ financial burden.

“The entire league is about the competition for the season, it is not just about the opening match to show case to the world the new things that we have to show for the women league in 2016/2017.
“It can be any two teams playing. This time around it is Nasarawa Amozon FC and Osun Babes FC, they will open the season while others will follow on Wednesday.
“As of last year we could not guarantee indemnities. The new board has assured indemnities will be paid from beginning of the season, that is a lot of relief for the clubs.”
