Death toll from Kabul attacks rises to 23, injured soars

Kabul, March 2, 2017 (dpa/NAN) The death toll from Taliban attacks on two security facilities in Kabul has risen from 16 to 23, an official said on Thursday.
The Ministry of Health Ministry spokesman Qamaruddin Sediqi said that number of injured in Wednesday’s bombings has increased from 44 to 107 as at Thursday morning.
Among the injured were five children and 16 women, he added, noting that “these are only the ones transported by ambulances.”
The militants first launched a car bomb attack on a police station in the west of the city.
Thirty minutes later, in the east of Kabul, a suicide bomber struck an Afghan spy agency building. (dpa/NAN)
