Dutse, Feb. 14, 2017 (NAN) The Jigawa Local Government Service Commission (JLGSC) has set aside N8.4 million for training 52 workers in the 27 local government areas of the state.
The JLGSC Executive Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Sugungu, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Tuesday.
Sugungu said that the beneficiaries would be Higher National Diploma (HND) holders who would need to acquire degrees to have the opportunity to rise up to grade level 17 in the state civil service.
“A person with HND is not allowed to be promoted beyond level 14,” he noted.
Sugungu said that the commission would pay N160, 000 to each of the beneficiaries.
According to the executive secretary, the beneficiaries would be screened by the commission.
He said that affected workers would be expected to spend only two years. (NAN)
