Ile-Ife (Osun), Feb. 10, 2017 (NAN) Mrs Titilayo Osotimehin, the Coordinating Director, Osun-East Education District Office, Ile-Ife, has warned Nigerian youths against taking shortcut to wealth.

Osotimehin gave the warning while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ile-Ife.

She said that many  young persons were dying prematurely because of the evil ways of getting money.

Osotimehin claimed that some youths were using their parents, wives, husbands, children, siblings and even their private parts for rituals, while some decided to chose kidnapping and yahoo business, among others.

The director urged parents to take proper care of their children and train them in the way of the Lord and ensure proper monitoring of their movements.

Osotimehin stressed that “charity begins at home”, and urged parents to introduce God to children at early stage of their lives, saying this is the solution to their predicamement.

” For the Bible say the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom; teach children the way to go, for when they grow up, they will not depart from it.

” If we teach them the way of the Lord, they will not value atrocities committed by scores of youths who ran after vanity to ruin their future, ” she said. (NAN)
