Man seeks dissolution of 8-year-old marriage over adultery

Ado-Ekiti, Feb.8, 2017 (NAN) A 35-year-old man, Afolabi Adedayo, on Wednesday approached an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court to dissolve his eight-year-old marriage to his wife, Kemi over adultery.
Afolabi also told the court that he sought the dissolution on grounds of lack of affection and frequent fighting.
He said that his wife was fond of sending love messages to her secret admirers and lovers, adding “whenever I query her, she turns it into a fight.
“My wife is unfaithful and she is not a straight forward lady,’’ he said.
The father of a child said his wife has no respect for his parents and insults them at will.
He urged the court to dissolve the marriage to enable him live happily.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the respondent was not present in court.
The President of the court, Mrs Olayinka Akomolede, ordered that the petition should be served on the respondent and adjourned the case till March 9 for further hearing. (NAN)
