Abuja, April 20, 2018 (NAN) The police on Friday arraigned 25-year-old Musa Zannab, in a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly assaulting one Adah Michael.
Zannab, who resides at Kpana village, Abuja, is facing a three-count charge of intentional insult, criminal force/ assault, and criminal intimidation contrary to Sections 115, 265 and 397 of the Penal Code.
The prosecutor, Mr Dalhatu Zannah, told the court that the matter was reported at Utako Police Station, Abuja, on April 17, by Michael of Kpana village.
Zannah said that on the same date at about 3: p.m. the complainant and Zannab had misunderstanding and she intentionally started insulting her, that she is a stupid woman.
The prosecutor added that in the process, Zannab violently tore the complainant’s clothes.
She alleged that Zannab threatened the complainant that she will make her mad, and walk all over the streets of Abuja.
Zannab pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against her.
The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N20,000, and a surety in like sum.
Sadiq ordered that the surety should have a reasonable means of livelihood and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
He adjourned the matter until May 10 for hearing. (NAN)
