Sanni, 23, whose address was not provided in court, is facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, burglary and stealing
The prosecutor, Sgt. Godwin Awase, told the court that the accused committed the offences with one other still at large on Feb. 11 at Gowon Estate, Egbeda near Lagos.

“He stole cosmetics valued at N125,000 and N125,000 cash from Showunmi’s shop and another N85,000 cash from Nwabukwu’s shop,” he said.
Awase said the accused was caught by some security guards who also found some of the stolen items with him.
“The accused was caught holding a bag and when it was searched, some of the stolen items were found inside it.
“He confessed that his accomplice had escaped with the rest of the stolen items,” he said.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 287, 307 and 411of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 287 provides a three-year jail term for stealing, while Section 307 stipulates a seven-year imprisonment for burglary.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate J.A. Adigun in his ruling granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
