UBTH graduates 4,651 from six health schools

Benin, Feb. 17, 2017 (NAN) The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) on Friday in Benin graduated 4, 651 students from six different Schools of Health.

The Principal of each school presented the numbers of his/her students before the UBTH Chief Medical Director, Prof. Michael Ibadin.

Ibadin, urged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of their schools as the institution has always emphasised on academy excellence.

He appealed to them to shun any act that would jeopardize their future.

During the ceremony, the Head of School of Nursing, Mrs Maureen Chukwurah presented 606 students while Mrs Obasohan Olubumi, Head of School of Midwifery presented 1,985.

Mr Agbonzikilo Lucky, Head of School of Health Information presented 374 graduating students while Prof. A.N. Ofili, Coordinator of Centre for Training Community Health Officer, presented 227 graduating students.

Mrs Martha Akhimien, Principal of Institute of Health Technology presented 650 students while Mrs Rebecca Ikomi, Principal of Post Basic Nursing Studies, presented 809 graduating students.

The best graduating student for the School of Nursing, Mr Destiny Uzzi who spoke on behalf of others, thanked God for making their desire a reality.

He commended the school management for providing the enabling environment for them to accomplish their academic careers in record time. (NAN)
