Abuja, March 29, 2018 (NAN) A teenager, Bright Udio, 19, was arraigned on Tuesday in a Karm Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly stealing N6, 000.
Udio of no fixed address was charged with stealing N6, 000 in contravention of Section 287 of the penal code.
The, however, denied all the allegation leveled against him.
The Judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, granted Udio bail in the sum of N5, 000 and a surety in like sum.
He ordered that the surety should have reasonable means of livelihood and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and adjourned the case till April 25 for hearing.
The prosecuting counsel, Mrs Florence Auhioboh, had informed the court that one Aminu Salisu of Maitama Abuja lodged the complaint at the Life Camp Police Station on March 21.
Auhioboh said that on March 21 at about 7. 30 p.m. the accused broke into the complainant’s tricycle parked at Life Camp junction, Abuja and made away with his N6000.
Auhioboh also said that during police investigation and interrogation, N710 was recovered from the accused.
