Minna, June 13, 2018 (NAN) Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) in Niger has said that the 306 candidates that sat for the TRCN examination on June 9, would repeat the exercise after the Ramadan.

Mrs Fumilayo Ohunenese, the Acting State Coordinator of the council, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Wednesday.

She said that the examination was not successful largely because the computers and the server developed fault.

“Many of the candidates however were able to use the system for the examination.

“But for the sake of those who could not log in as result of the system failure, we have decided to cancel the examination,” she said.

Ohunenese said that it was only in Niger that system failure occurred, noting that it was not expected because the system was generally serviced in preparation for the examination.

She said however that engineers had started servicing the system for better service delivery during the rescheduled examination.

She urged the candidates to be conscious of the examination time as the council would not consider any excuse of late comers, no matter how cogent they might be.

“Some of our candidates from New Bussa were late last time and we want to advise them that we will not condone that again.

“The council will not be held liable for their negligence” she said. (NAN)
