Suny, hazy, partly cloudy atmosphere to prevail on Saturday – NiMet

Abuja, Feb. 10, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday.
NiMet gave the prediction in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office on Friday in Abuja.
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperature of 29 to 36 degrees Celsius and 12 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that southern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with chances of isolated rain showers over Benin, Akure, Osogbo, Ado-Ekiti and Ijebu Ode axis during the evening and night period.
It also predicted day and night temperatures of 33 to 36 and 22 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively over the southern region.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience hazy conditions over Sokoto, Gusau, Katsina, Kano and Yelwa with sunny and hazy conditions over the northeastern cities in the next 24 hours.
“Northern states will also have day and night temperature values in the range of 31 to 34 and 13 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Hazy conditions with improved horizontal visibility are expected to prevail over the northern and central cities of the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
