Yola, Feb, 2 2017 ( NAN) The Adamawa command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has suspended the use of mobile court in prosecuting those who failed to install the speed limiter
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that there was a protest by commercial motorists on Wednesday in Yola over the use of mobile court.
Sector Commander of FRSC in the state, Mr. Adegoke Adetunji, told NAN that the commission decided to suspend the use of mobile courts after meeting with stakeholders.
Adetunji said that the exercise was now going on smoothly across the state.
“The drivers are now cooperating with us; we have temporarily suspended the use of mobile court”, he said.
Also speaking, Alhaji Bello Adamu, the State Chairman of National Union of Roads Transport Workers (NURTW) who lauded the introduction of the device, said his members would comply.(NAN)
