Abuja, Feb. 20, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted slight dust haze conditions over the central states of the country on Tuesday with horizontal visibility of two to five kilometres over Bida, Minna and Lokoja.
NiMet gave the prediction in its Weather Outlook by the Central Forecast Office on Monday in Abuja.
It also predicted that the region would have day and night temperature of 26 to 35 and 15 to 18 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted that Southern states would experience slight dust haze conditions with dust haze conditions in horizontal visibility over Akure, Benin, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Obudu, Ikom and Enugu.
It also predicted partly cloudy conditions over the coastal cities with chances of fog during the morning hours with day and night temperature of 30 to 36 and 13 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience slight dust haze conditions with day and night temperature of 26 to 34 and 11 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Hazy conditions are expected to prevail over the entire country with the exception of the coastal area, and the coastal area is expected to experience partly cloudy condition in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
