Abuja, Feb. 9, 2018 (NAN) Service Compact (SERVICOM) is set to establish a help desk programme with the Human Rights radio – 101.1 FM, with effect from March to promote quality service delivery across the country.
Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli, National Coordinator SERVICOM made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja.
She explained that the help desk programme will be a media magazine platform, where the public can be reporting their service delivery experiences, challenges and service failures through phone calls.
“ With the mandate we have as SERVICOM to make sure that service is delivered to the people to their satisfaction.
“We are working with the Human Rights radio station and the management has accepted to host our help desk programme on a weekly basis.
“We are starting in March, it is going to be a weekly programme to better engage service takers with service providers, so that issues of service failures can be better reported and redressed.’’
Akajemeli stated that performance evaluations on Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) would be more intensified this year to show case what the government is truly doing for the people.
She added that the evaluation would make them serve as effective bridge between the government and the people for enhanced service delivery in the country.
“For the year we are working around pilot projects and we are carrying out more evaluations, we want to showcase what government is truly doing for the people.
“The change agenda is in line with basic SERVICOM principles it is about customers being served right.
“It is about the government providing all of the promises made to the people to ensure that the essence of governance is realised and ensure that services truly serve the people.
“ We facilitate the dynamic engagement between the government and the people; we take from the government on what they are doing for the people and take feedback from the people to the government,’’ she said.(NAN)
