Ilorin, May 12, 2017 (NAN) Mr Tunde Bolaji, the Proprietor, Champions Nursery and Primary School, Irewolede, Ilorin, has called for the teaching of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a subject in Schools.

Bolaji, who made the call in Ilorin on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said that the knowledge of ICT was essential to every human endeavour.

The proprietor was of the view that ICT should be made compulsory for all in schools and urged students to be curious and develop the habit of learning more about the use of computer.

“The world is now a global village whereby without the knowledge of computer, you will be left out and in a complete darkness.

“It is time we emulate western countries by exposing students and children to computer from the earlier stage.

“That is what makes western countries to be far ahead of us in the third world countries.

“Government should make computer available in schools for learning; parents must also ensure that their children are exposed to it right from home.

“ICT knowledge will make our society a better place to live and will as well connect us with the outside world.
According to him, it is better to instill the culture of learning and using computer by school children at early age. (NAN)
