Abuja, June 15, 2018 (NAN) Authorities of Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) said 400 traffic personnel and 50 vehicles had been deployed on special traffic management duty during the Eid-el-Fitr.
The Secretary, FCT Transportation Secretariat, Mr Kayode Opeifa, made this known to newsmen on Friday in Abuja.
He said that the officers who were from the Directorate of Road Traffic Services would ensure smooth vehicular movement in the territory during the Sallah.
Opeifa said that the special traffic management duty commenced on Thursday and would end on Monday.
“Officers of the Directorate have been deployed to all flash points in the territory to ensure seamless traffic flow during the period,’’ he stated.
The secretary urged motorists in the area to obey all traffic rules and regulations to ensure accident free celebration, and prayed for travellers into and out of the territory. (NAN)
