Slap

Lagos, March 30, 2017 (NAN) A 23-year-old sales boy, Waheed Riliwan, on Thursday appeared in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly slapping a woman on the cheek.
Riliwan, who resides at Old Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos, however,pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault preferred against him.
The prosecutor, Insp. Eruada Victor, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 8, at Old Otta Road, Orile Agege area of Lagos state.
He further said that the accused slapped Mrs Funke Ajibola, the complainant, following an argument between the two parties.
“He slapped Funke multiple times on the cheek which caused her injury,” Victor said.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 170 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The Magistrate, Mrs G.O Anifowoshe, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties in the like sum.
She adjourned the case till April 12 for further hearing. (NAN)
