Rehabilitation: UK-based NGO supports Yobe science education

Damaturu, Nov.21, 2017 (NAN) A United Kingdom-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), “Trends for Development in Africa”, has trained 23 teachers and donated science equipment to 25 schools in Yobe to revitalise science education in the state.
Dr Mahmud Maina, Trend Outreach Director, disclosed this on Tuesday in Damaturu.
Maina said that a science festival was organised in the state to promote teaching and study of science as the state emerged out of insurgency.
He said 23 science teachers from various secondary schools were trained by the organisation to improve their capacity.
The group also donated 25 microscopes to 25 secondary schools in the state that participated in the
