Prayer
By Toba Ajayi
Ilorin, Jan.19, 2017 (NAN) Pastor Amos Oloruntoba of Winning Soul for Christ Church, Amilegbe in Ilorin has called on Nigerians to intercede through prayers, for the country as the recession bites harder.
Oloruntoba, who made the call in Ilorin on Thursday while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), described prayer as the only key to turn the country to good fortune.
The religious leader also said that in doing so, they must put minds together and call on God for intervention in the nation’s problems.
Oloruntoba said the present economic recession confronting the nation was for a period, but stressed that with the right in place, the problem would not last long.
He further assured that through collective effort, ‘’the story of this great country will change from shame to fame.’’
“Prayer is a tool that can make the impossible become possible. We need to stop complaining now and start firing prayers from all angles on behalf of our nation.
“We must make prayer as a sacrifice for Nigeria to become a better place instead of running to a foreign land.
“Through one voice in prayer and discipline, we can all make Nigeria great again,” he said.
The cleric, however, called on political office holders and people at the affairs of the country to be God-fearing and listen to the cry of the masses. (NAN)
