Rapper `Six Foot Plus’ returns to studio

Abuja, April 11, 2017 (NAN) Alfred Atungu, also known as “Six Foot Plus’’ said he has returned to the studio to record his much anticipated album.
Atungu made this known in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.
The Abuja-based rapper and poet who admitted he has been out of touch with his fans, appealed for patient.
“I was away for some time, but now I have got my act together to start recording; and I’m already working on the album.
“ By the grace of God, it will be out soon; I want to urge my fans to keep their fingers crossed and watch out for my next album.
The artist who did not disclosed the title said “the album will be full of surprises, which I would not want to mention now, but I assure that it will contain music for all, ’’he said.
NAN reports that the last time `Edon do me’ hit maker drop a song was in 2015 when he released a song titled; “Comeback Song.’’
The rapper in the song narrated his story, while in hiatus and his readiness to contribute positively to the Nigerian music scene with more tunes.
The Kaduna-born artist started writing songs in 1987; the focus then was on singing, even though attempts at writing rap songs had begun.
He worked with Solo D, the producer of `Payback Tyme Records’ between 1992 and 2000 and released his first album, `Millennium Bugging’ in 2001.
The album contained hits like ‘Anwuli’, `Suwangee’, `Medicine Man’ and others.
In 2008, he released a song title ‘e don don me’ which rocked the airwaves and was an anthem on the lips of every kids.
Six foot plus’ collaboration with Jeremiah Gyang produced the hit song, “Nabaka” that rocked the country some years ago.
The Dramatic Arts graduate released another album “6 O’ Clock’’ in 2006 with hit single ‘carry go’ and many others that earned him shows and audience in the entertainment circle.
He was part of the pioneer artistes in the country that started the drive in the entertainment circle with like Jeremeiah Gyang, Plantashun Boiz, Zeal, Remedies, amongst others. (NAN)
