Lagos, Sept. 22, 2017 (NAN) The Managing Director, Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), Mr Muminu Badmus, on Friday said that the corporation’s Performance Enrichment Programme (PEP) had started increasing its revenue generation.
Badmus said this in a statement in Lagos.
“PEP concept was introduced few months ago to accelerate the transformation of the corporation toward meeting its goals.
“The model has started yielding the desired results by increasing the revenue generation of the corporation, as well as its overall performance.
“The corporation has proved to the world that the LWC staff can meet set targets, if necessary machinery are put in place.
“I will continue to do my best as the managing director to improve performance,’’ he said.
Badmus thanked LWC workers for their efforts, and urged them to do more.
He said that the corporation needed to continue enumeration to update its database.
Badmus said that the corporation introduced metering system to check water usage and enable consumers to conserve and use it wisely.
“We need to manage the water we produce, which is limited in quantity,’’ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that PEP, launched by LWC few months ago, revolves around five key principles – change in attitude, effective leadership, accountability framework, performance target and monitoring and evaluation.
It helps the LWC to maximise sales, improve collection rate, improve staff productivity and capacity utilisation, and respond to customers’ complaints faster, as well as reduce debts and water loss. (NAN)
