Osun Assembly passes Public Private Partnership Bill into law

Osogbo, Oct. 18, 2016 (NAN) The Osun House of Assembly on Tuesday in Osogbo during plenary passed the state’s Public Private Partnership (Establishment) Bill into law.

 

Deputy Leader Oladejo Osuolale, moved the motion for passage of the bill after third reading, while Kamil Oyedele, representing Irepodun/Orolu Constituency, seconded the motion.

Mr Timothy Owoeye, the House Leader, who presided over the plenary, said that when operational, it would assist government in providing public facilities for the people.

Owoeye said that there was need to collaborate with private individuals and organisations to provide infrastructure.

He called on the private sector to partner with government, adding that the law would protect their investment.

The house leader lauded the executive arm for drafting the bill and the members of the assembly for promptly passing it into law.

Owoeye said that the bill would be forwarded to the governor for assent. (NAN)
