Osogbo, July 5, 2018 (NAN) Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Sept. 22 governorship election in Osun, has appealed to residents to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them participate in the electoral exercise.
Oyetola, who is Gov. Rauf Aregbesola’s Chief of Staff, made the appeal while addressing his supporters on Thursday in Osogbo.
He said the PVC remained the only instrument of the electorate to determine the future of the state in another four years.
Oyetola also emphasised the need for the electorate to objectively assess candidates in the election on the basis of experience and commitment to sustainable development.
If elected, Oyetola promised to sustain and improve on the developmental drive of the present administration in the state through financial intelligence.
The aspirant who described himself as a critical factor in the policy formulation and implementation process of the Aregbesola administration, said such level of involvement had equipped him for a greater assignment.
“I make bold to say that I was a key factor in the formulation and implementation of several developmental projects across the state.
“I have gathered more than enough in terms of management dexterity and administrative skills, having worked with a visionary leader like Gov. Rauf, coupled with more than 30 years of experience in the private sector.
“I have satisfactory knowledge of the strength and needs of the state with pragmatic blueprint for policy implementation, “Oyetola said.
He also appealed to APC delegates to vote wisely during the party’s primary tentatively slated for Saturday. (NAN)
