Kaduna, March 9, 2018 (NAN) An organization, e-Worldwide, on Friday called on young women in Kaduna State to embrace entrepreneurship, in order to be self reliant.
Founder of the organization, Dr Salma Abbasi made the call at an interactive forum with young women tagged, `Innovative Financial inclusion for all’ at the Kaduna State University.
She stressed that young women needed to be inspired to take up businesses that would make them economically sustainable.
According to her, the forum was organised to inspire women and empower them with knowledge in developing business plans to attract funding and ensure sustainability.
“We want to inspire and motivate young women for a better future by venturing into businesses that would empower them economically,” she said.
One of the participants, Aisha Muhammad, a youth corps member, said she had been inspired by the robust discussions and motivated her to pursue her dream.
“I would like to go into bakery after the service year and will start preparing a good business plan soon,” she said.
Earlier, a Diamond Bank representative, Mr John Michael said the bank is committed in helping young women with loan at lower interest.(NAN)
