Owerri, Oct. 31, 2016 (NAN) Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo has attributed the present democratic dividends of his administration to the synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government.
Okorocha said this at a reception in honour of the Imo state speaker, Iheanacho Ihim, the new President of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) in Owerri on Monday.
“It is not about who is bigger or stronger than each other, but it is to have proper checks and balances,” he said.
Gov. Sani Bello of Niger and Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina attended the occasion.
also in attendance were former senate president Ken Nnamani,members of Conference of Parliamentary Speakers and Secretary General of CPA, Ngalama Dimitris.(NAN)
