Lagos, Dec. 13, 2016 (NAN) Taiwo Ogunjobi, a former secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has urged newly elected officers of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) to promote peace among its members.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the former Secretary General of the club, Sam lkpea, on Dec. 10 emerged as the new National Chairman, while Kunle Adeniyi became Secretary-General.

Delegates from 19 states of the Federation, including Abuja, participated in the election, which took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Ogunjobi told NAN on Tuesday in Lagos that he was impressed with the conduct of the election, which he described as “free and fair.’’

“I am happy at the successful conduct of the election, graced by stakeholders and founders of this great club. I congratulate the newly elected officers for their victory.

“However, they must be united, work as a family, and ensure total peace in the club because those are the measures that will bring development,’’ he said.

He advised the Ikpea-led team to look at the present challenges facing the club to effectively find lasting solutions.

The former NFF scribe implored members of the club to pray for the new board and cooperate with them to take the club to a greater height. (NAN)
