Lagos, May 3, 2017 (NAN), Tosin Oribamise, the Most Valuable Player in the female category of table tennis event at the just-concluded Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Games in Makurdi has ascribed the award bestowed on her to hardwork.

NAN reports that the Games held from April 19 to April 29 at the University of Agriculture, Markurdi, Benue.
“Who says hard work doesn’t pay? Well for me it does. My dedication to training and surpassing my previous records are indeed yielding positive results.
“Prior to the competition, I trained hard under the tutelage of my coach and I went with the mind of learning and winning medals.
“Everything I achieved is due to hard work and with God on my side. This has always shown that I still have a lot more to do,” she said.
Oribamise told NAN that she had began training for the World Youth Championships in Argentina which would hold later in the year and the World University Games.
“These two competitions are major targets for me since I want to make a remarkable impact I have started preparing.
“To do well, I have to start preparing very much ahead and with my coach by my side, I know nothing is impossible once I act according to his instructions,” she said.
The duo of Oribamise and Ajoke Ojomu, will represent the country at the World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan.
Oribamise is one player who has represented the country at several international competitions and won many laurels.
NAN reports that left handed Oribamise, is a student from the Ekiti State University, with great skill to overwhelm her opponents.
It was that devastating form she deployed against Ojomu, a junior national teammate from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in the singles event final, to win 4-2 in the best of seven games. (NAN)
