NTDC to focus on revenue generating potentials, says DG

Abuja, Dec. 7, 2016 (NAN) Mr Boniface Eboka, the Acting Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), on Wednesday said the corporation would focus on its potentials to generate revenue.

Eboka said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja

The statement signed by NTDC Head of Media Unit, Grace Ukah, quoted Eboka as saying that the corporation would focus on the “amendment of the NTDC Act to ensure tourism inclusiveness in view of the multiplicity of standards operating in the country.’’

The statement, which highlighted Eboka’s areas of focus, listed them to include strengthening the revenue generating potential of the corporation through its subsidiary.

Other areas, according to Eboka, included : “ Capacity building of officers through training and re-training of the workforce on a regular basis.

“ Hosting of NTDC based stakeholders engagement to discuss current treads in the tourism industry.

“ Authentication of tourism sites and festivals for better marketing and promotion of the countries potentials and making zonal officers more viable.’’

Eboka urged the staff to contribute toward ensuring that the NTDC was in tune with the Federal Government’s plans to diversify the nation’s economy.(NAN)
