Ibadan, Jan. 25, 2017 (NAN) Mountain of Fire Ministry (MFM) Football Club of Lagos on Wednesday forced hosts Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan to a 1-1 draw.

In the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 4 fixture played in Ibadan, MFM FC scored through Olatunbosun Sikiru in the 42nd minute.

3SC got its equaliser in the 90th minute through a penalty kick by Adebayo Abayomi after Sunday Faramade was brought down in the penalty area.

NAN reports that it was a bad outing for the home team as they failed to take their chances due to a weak attacking force.

Speaking after the match, 3SC’s coach Fatai Amoo promising to work on the attack ahead of their next games.

Amoo said he would have loved a win from the game but it was unfortunate that they lost due to their deficiency in the attack.

“Though, we are just back from a long journey to Kano, but it is not an excuse. However, I am happy with our young players.

“The goal scoring art is something that cannot be built in a day, but we will improve on it.

“Football is about scoring, taking your chances when they come. We are not tired, but fit to go,” he said.

Amoo said they would go into their next game against ABS FC in Ilorin aiming to do better.

“In all honesty, four games in 10 days are too tough and cumbersome for the Nigerian League but I am not in the best place to change that.

“The League Management Company (LMC) had wanted to start the league earlier but could not. I believe they meant well for the league.”

NAN reports that the MFM FC coach could not be reached at the end of the game for his comments on the match.(NAN)
