Lagos, Jan. 17, 2018 (NAN) The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is to fully participate in the forthcoming 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair scheduled to hold from Feb. 23 to March 4.

The Managing Director of NPA, Ms Hadiza Usman, said this on Wednesday in a message to a delegation of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), who paid a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of the authority in Lagos.

The delegation was received by the Assistant General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communications, Malam Isah Suwaid.

Usman commended the organisers of the fair for their giant strides over the years and noted the relevance of this year’s Fair with the theme: “Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.’’

She described the theme as “a compliment to the efforts of the Federal Government toward revamping the economy by encouraging investments in agriculture, manufacturing, trade, services and technologies.’’

The President of KADCCIMA, Dr Muheebat Dankaka, called for cooperation and improved synergy with the NPA management toward the overall success of the forthcoming trade fair.

According to her, this year’s event which is the 39th in the series,  is to further create an avenue through which investors from various parts of the country and beyond would exhibit their goods and services for the growth of the nation’s economy.

She commended the contributions of the maritime sub-sector under the current NPA management, saying that the contributions would reposition NPA for improved efficiency and efficient service delivery within West and Central Africa sub-region.

Dankaka explained that this year’s event would witness a Business Roundtable with the theme “Promoting Made in Nigeria Products for International Competitiveness’’; quiz competition among students at  the Senior Secondary School level as well as a seminar. (NAN)
