NOA urges Katsina border communities to assist security agencies secure borders

Katsina, Nov. 21, 2017(NAN) The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged border communities in Katsina  state to intensify efforts toward assisting security agencies to make Nigerian borders more secured.

Alhaji Armaya’u Rimaye, the NOA State Director, gave the advice on Monday in Jibia while launching a ‘Peace Building and Security Awareness Campaign’.

‘’We want the boarder communities to be security conscious of happenings in their areas.

‘’You should be conscious about movement of suspicious persons and goods capable of disrupting security in your domain.

‘’Always assist security agents with vital information that will assist to make our borders more secured.

‘’Do not consider what you will get but how the country will be protected against all forms of evils,’’ he said.

Rimaye said fighting insecurity in the country can only be successful if the security agents had vital information on the menace.

The director also urged Nigerians to continue to live in peace with one another, irrespective of religious, ethnic and geographical inclination.

He further urged residents to continue to respect culture, religion and tradition of communities they were living with as part of measures to ensure peace and harmony in the country.

He also urged residents to avoid hate speech, adding that such could incite disturbance and capable of threatening the peace and unity of the country. (NAN)
