NiMet predicts sunny, hazy, cloudy weather for Friday

Abuja, Dec. 8, 2016 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny hazy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Friday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures of between 34 to 37 degrees Celsius and 16 to 22 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted cloudy to partly cloudy morning over the southern states with day and night time temperatures of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius and 20 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted partly cloudy conditions over the inland cities in the afternoon and evening hours with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Yenagoa and Ikom.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze conditions over Kano, Katsina, Nguru, Yelwa, Gusau, Sokoto and Maiduguri with horizontal visibility range of two to three kilometres.

It said the region would have day and night temperatures of 32 to 37 degrees Celsius and 13 to 19 degrees Celsius respectively during the forecast period.

“Dust haze conditions are anticipated over the northern parts of the country; sunny and hazy over the central cities while the southern cities may experience isolated thunderstorms in the next 24 hours,’’ it added. (NAN)
