Abuja, March 7, 2018 (NAN)The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Thursday morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Wednesday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 39 and 15 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
It added that there would be chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Ilorin, Minna, Bida, Makurdi, Mambilla Plateau, Lokoja and Jalingo during the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy morning and thunderstorms over Eket with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 37 and 19 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Akure, Osogbo, Benin, Ado-Ekiti, Ijebu-Ode, Lagos, Abeokuta, Port-Harcourt and Calabar during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions over most parts with day and night temperatures in the range of 35 to 41 and 17 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
“With moisture influx within the country from the coast up to the northern cities, activities are highly probable over some parts of the southern region and the high grounds of the central cities.
“This is keeping most part of the country in partly cloudy to sunny conditions in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
