NiMet predicts dusty, hazy, cloudy skies for Tuesday

Abuja, Dec. 5, 2016 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dusty, hazy weather conditions over the nation`s central states on Tuesday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures of between 33 to 37 degrees Celsius and 15 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively, except Jos with 28 and 13 degrees Celsius.
The agency also predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy to partly cloudy skies over inland and coastal cities in the morning with prospects of isolated showers in the southeast.
It also predicted isolated thundery showers over the coast later in the day with day and night time temperatures of 32 to 35 degrees Celsius and 19 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze in the morning with deteriorating visibilities in the range of one to three kilometres over some areas in the evening.
It said the region would have day and night temperatures of 32 to 38 degrees Celsius and 14 to 21 degrees Celsius respectively during the forecast period.
“Dust haze conditions are still expected over the north in the next 24 hours,’’ it added. (NAN)
