Media preview of documentary “Dancing Mask: The ANA Story” holds in Abuja

Abuja, Feb. 15, 2017 (NAN) The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) on Wednesday held a media preview of the documentary film titled “Dancing Mask: The ANA story.”

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the one hour documentary showcases  interviews with past and present leaders of the association.
The six million naira budget documentary also showed the association’s land located at Mpape, Abuja where the association plans to build a Writers’ Village.

Mr Abdullahi Denja, the President of ANA, said the documentary was to showcase the activities of the association from inception to date.

“The documentary is about the history, the trend, movement and all the achievements and challenges of ANA.

“We just want to tell the ANA story for the past 35 years from different angles; the angle of sacrifices, achievements, prospects, challenges and the rest of them.

“That is what the documentary is all about,” Denja stressed.

He maintained that the documentary could serve as primary source to other projects of the association.

“We could use the documentary to inform the public about the image and effectiveness of the association; we could also use it as a supporting material for revenue generation for the association.

“The documemtary is an ANA story being told in pictures and moving pictures do not lie, so the documentary is a true story about the association.
“This is a legacy project that is achieve withing a year; even those that were against the project were also featured in it, because everybody has a story to tell,” Denja said. (NAN)
