Abuja, Jan. 19, 2017 (NAN) The President of Mama Africa, an NGO, Pastor Mary Oyomire, on Thursday, advised women to tap their hidden potential in order to fulfill their purpose in life.

Oyomire gave this advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, preparatory to its forthcoming women conference slated to hold between Jan. 20 and Jan. 21 at the Women Development Centre.

According to her, the conference is to address some of the challenges women are facing in life.

The president said the conference would attract women from all walks of life, adding that there would be empowerment for some less privileged women during the programme.

“Every woman needs to discover herself, as you cannot give what you don’t have.

“A woman should be purpose-driven and think of what they could contribute to their community and their families,’’ she said.

Oyomire said the conference would enlighten the women on empowerment, education and skills, confidence, and creating healthy lifestyle for a better community.

“We will minister to them to work towards becoming who God wants them to become. We will talk about Deborah in the Bible.

“It is a two-day programme to feature among other things; a talk show, an interaction where women ask questions on whatever emotional problem they have and expect solutions.

“There will also be an empowerment section, where we hope to empower no fewer than 20 women while some women would also be given financial assistance for petty businesses,’’ she said.

She contended that if a woman had not discovered herself, she could be the most dangerous woman on earth but if she could discover herself, she would be a life giver,’’ Oyomire added. (NAN)
