Abuja, Feb. 9, 2017 (NAN) A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Go International, on Thursday said it would extend the gospel of Christ and humanitarian services to more communities and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across the country.

Executive Director of the organisation, Mr Gabriel Barau, stated this in Kuje, Abuja, at the commissioning of the national office of the NGO, and said that focus on IDPs was in line with the organisation’s mandate.

He said that the NGO had since its inception in 1983 worked and ensured that the gospel of Christ was taken to the “unreached’’.

Barau said that the office would strengthen the activities of the organisation in its mission, adding that more hands would be recruited.

“I have been a missionary over the years and we have been involved in reaching out to communities on terms of provision of humanitarian services and preaching the gospel of Christ.

“We cannot work without an office and that is why we decided to have this structure to promote our activities.

“Our target is to do our best to ensure that these communities are not as disadvantaged as they feel,” he said.

According to him, the millions that have not heard of Jesus and are scattered in neglected regions of Africa and the World are our primary focus.

“Some of these are the poorest of the poor that need human help to both understand the love and accept it,” he added.

Barau identified development, healthcare, empowerment, schools as well as awareness and mobilization as the major activities of the organisation.

He called for support to the NGO, adding that mission work was a collective responsibility. (NAN)
