Yenagoa, Dec. 22, 2016 (NAN) The newly appointed Air Officer Commanding (AOC) at the Bayelsa Mobility Command of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF),Air Vice-Marshal Stephen Onuh, has pledged his commitment to quality service for the interest of the nation.
Onuh, the 9th Air Officer Commanding for Bayelsa, made the promise during the handing over of the Bayelsa Mobility Command to him in Yenagoa on Thursday.
According to him, “I have come to serve in Bayelsa and whatever comes up against the interest of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we will try to find solutions around it.
“I am aware of all the problems here as one of the riverine states; we will continue to work as a team to tackle those challenges.
“Most importantly, I will ensure that the cordial relationship between the NAF and Bayelsa Government is sustained,” Onuh said.
The out going commanding officer, Air Vice-Marshal Emmanuel Agwungwu, (AOC), urged the officers in the command to uphold the values of the armed force and be more dedicated to service.
He said that dedication and commitment by officers would go a long run to strengthen their operations in the state.
“You should always support the new AOC and the Air Force will excel in attaining its objectives in Bayelsa and Nigeria at large.
“To the new AOC, I must tell you that Bayelsa is a peaceful state and you must know that there is no challenge that is unsurmountable,” Agwungwu said. (NAN)
