Yola, May 9, 2018 (NAN) The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has commenced the training of 102 women and youths in cosmetology and technical skills in Adamawa.
Speaking at the training site on Wednesday, the Acting State Coordinator of NDE, Mr Kenneth Maigida, said that the beneficiaries comprised 66 women that would receive two weeks training in cosmetology.
“Under the cosmetology the beneficiaries will learn liquid state making, germicides and body cream production.
“While the remaining 36 are undergoing training in technical skills like computer appreciation, interlock production, aluminum fabrication, vulcanizing etc will train for three months,” Maigida said.
While reiterating the commitment of Directorate as the apex agency for job creation in the country to continue to empower the teeming Nigerian youths, Maigida said recently about 2,000 unemployed persons were provided with similar skills training in Adamawa.
He solicited for the support and cooperation of state and local governments as well as NGOs and Faith Based Organizations in partnering with NDE in areas of job creation to reduce unemployment in the state. (NAN)
